Selma S.  Katzen
Katzen, Selma Siegel Katzen age 98 (forever 21) passed away peacefully on March 5, 2017 at The Anderson in Cincinnati, OH. Born in New York, New York on December 7, 1918, to Ellen (Storch) Siegel and Louis Siegel, Selma graduated from Hunter College with a BS in chemistry. She married her husband Raphael (Ray) in 1938 and they settled in Cincinnati in 1944. Her husband started his engineering firm, Raphael Katzen Associates International, Inc., in 1953 and she worked by his side for 56 years as secretary, treasurer, and CFO, in Cincinnati and in his consulting firm in Bonita Springs until his death in 2009. Preceded in death by her husband Ray of 71 years, her sister Helen Minkin (George), survived by her daughter Nancy Riedel (Richard), grandchildren Andy Riedel (Irene), Chris Riedel (Amy), Kim Sanchez (Frank) and great grandchildren Savannah, Casey, Jasmin, Bryce, Jackson, Sophia and Dylan. Many thanks to her family, many friends and later caregivers who helped her along the way, a beautiful journey for a very strong and loving woman. A celebration of her life will be held on April 8, 2017 at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church 11:00 AM 8101 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45255. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. T P WHITE & SONS Funeral Home serving the family.
