Condolences

Condolence From: Cheri Brinkman
Condolence: I will always have a positive remembrance of Graham and his great way with students and faculty at DeVry. How he always spoke of his lovely wife and family and how much he cared for them as well. Although I have been gone several years from DeVry I ran into him 2 years ago at Panera Bread and he told me how much he missed my work at the campus with Communication classes and my ESL program which was the first for the Cincinnati campus and told me "anytime you want to come back- just shoot me a new resume!" Being semi- retired that was not an option. So Sorry to learn of his passing. Sending along my deepest sympathy.

Condolence: I met Graham at an entrepreneurship training seminar at Butler Tech. We had a great argument over whether or not an "S Corp" was the right type of business structure for a startup. While that might not seem like a particular significant discussion, those who knew Graham could imagine exactly how that conversation turned into emails, phone calls, lunches at Applebees, and eventually landed me working for him at DeVry University.

He was always busy. But he was also always available. He made an impact on a whole lot of people, and I am but one of them. I'm fortunate to have him in our life, and he will be remembered dearly.

Condolence: When I look back over my life and think of people whom I am thankful for, Graham will always be at the top of my list. He gave me an opportunity to teach and helped me become a better professor.

No matter how busy he was, I could always count on him to take the time to talk to me and encourage me. I worked for him at three different universities and could ALWAYS count on him to keep my best interests at heart. (which was not always the case with others in my past)

He kept students best interest first. I hope that he will look down on what I do now and see that in me.

I'm so sorry for your families loss. Know that Graham will not be forgotten.

Condolence: I was fortunate enough to teach under Graham for seven years. He truly was an incredible boss -- always positive and encouraging to his employees, not to mention available when we needed help. He was firm and fair with the staff and the students yet also understanding and approachable.

I know it is cliche to say, but I really am so sorry for your loss. Graham adored his family and spoke of all of you often, so I cannot fathom how much you are reeling. But please know how fondly Graham is remembered by so many people.
