Best Friends . . .
Suzanne and I became friends in 2nd grade at McKinley School . . . and from then on were best friends - through thick and thin. We shared the love of 50s music, 45s, dancing, Husmann's potato chips and Pepsi . . . and sitting on her grandma's porch on Columbia Parkway - watching the world go by. We shared more than a few double dates over the high school years, slumber parties with sorority sisters and a few broken hearts. We lost touch a couple of times in our 20s, and then, unfortunately did not reconnect until our 40th high school reunion. From then on we stayed "in touch".
I am so glad that I had "Sue" through my childhood and adolescent years . . . nothing like a kindred spirit to share life's challenges with you.
