Obituary for Rita J. Fisher

Rita J. Fisher (nee Willman) born June 19, 1947 in Cincinnati to Vince and Bertha Willman, beloved wife of Edward J Fisher, mother of Adam (Trisha) Mitzel, Michelle (Josh) Knight and Molly Stockdale, Worlds BEST grandmother to Rylan, Weston & Hudson Mitzel, Easton & Arlo Knight and Maxwell & Nicholas Stockdale. Beloved sister of Sr. Vincent Marie S.C., the late Jean Soaper, Carol Holden, Vince (Shelby) Willman, Loretta Pahls, Mary Geckle, Betty Stoeckel, Judy (Mike) Holmquist, Ruth Lehmkuhl, Peggy (Bob) Berting and numerous nieces and nephews. On August 31, 2017, after courageously living with cancer for 21 months she went to join the Angels. Rita earned her BS from Mount St. Joseph and a Masters from XU. Retired from UC Health in 2013. She loved music and was a member of dulcimer clubs. Rita enjoyed camping, hiking, cruises and travel with her loving husband. She valued time with her family, especially her 7 grandsons. She enjoyed baking cookies, cooking, gardening and reading. She loved Christmas, especially hosting celebrations at her home which was decorated to the fullest extent. She was a compassionate, loving, giving and caring person that lead by example, never speaking a negative comment. She was inspirational to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is greatly missed by all. Visitation at Guardian Angels Church, Mt Washington on Wednesday, September 6 at 9:30AM. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Memorial donations in Ritas name may be sent to UC Barrett Cancer Center, 234 Goodman Dr, Cincinnati, OH 45267-0757.
