Condolence: As a precocious 2-3 year old I dubbed Kathy as "Pretty." She was a part of my life from birth and she was the grandmother of my heart. Pretty was present for every moment from purple popsicles to graduations to weddings. I cherish the 40+ years of birthday cards with hand-written notes. Melanie and Valerie, thank you for sharing your mom with my family.

Condolence: 10/05/2017 To Melanie Preston, Valerie Preston and her children: My sister, Lois Ferell and I give our heartfelt condolences on the death of your mother, Kathy Preston. She was a great lady who was so positive, friendly, considerate and fun to be with. As you know, she and Dick were so close to the members of my family, Don and Eleanor Preston, Lois and Ken, and Susie and me. We always sought them out at family reunions and enjoyed them and their wonderful nature photographs. Dick was a mentor to me and instrumental in guiding me towards law school. We truly miss them.
