Condolences

Condolence From: Jacque Loveall
Condolence: I just learned of Scott's passing, but wanted to leave a condolence for his family and many friends. I knew Scott from the 1980's when he was Blood Bank Supervisor and I was 2nd/3rd Shift Laboratory Supervisor in Providence Hospital in Cincinnati. He was seriously intelligent, but also the life of the party (even when there was no party). He taught me more about Blood Bank than I ever learned in school, by having me check new pages from his textbook to "check for grammar". I'll never forget the party to celebrate his acceptance to UC Medical School...we were all so excited for him. I just wanted to take this opportunity to recognize Scott, and to offer my sincere sympathies to all who knew him. I am truly saddened by our loss.

Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. Although I’m not a personal friend, I’ve known Scott for over 25 years. We first met on August 28, 1992 when I was air lifted to Christ Hospital. That day and the succeeding days, Scott saved my life. And he kept me going for over 25 years. A few years ago we had time to talk after my office appointment. And I thanked him for helping me stay around long enough to see my two daughters graduate high school and college. And thanks to Scott, I was able to see them both get married and spend time with my four grandchildren. His reply was priceless! He said, “Darn, I’m good!” He was more than good, he was the best! I will miss him.

Condolence From: Karen Crosset Moore
Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. Scott and I grew up together as next door neighbors. He was a wonderful person then and I know he was a wonderful doctor. My family has many wonderful memories of Scott, like playing basketball on our driveway pad for hours, watching Scott and his band play in the basement of his house, and helping us out at Halloween as we set up and delivered hotdogs and apple cider to what felt like thousands of children from the neighborhood and beyond. God bless you and may his love of life live in your hearts for years to come. We will all miss him, very much. With love and compassion, The Crosset Family (Karen, Bill, Judy, and Hazel)

Condolence: Please accept my deepest sympathy on Dr. Behren's passing. I worked with him as Chaplain at Mercy Anderson from 1993-2003. His always ready smile and deep concern for his patients was comforting to many patients' families. His relationship to the staff was always cordial and concerning. He will truly be missed.

Condolence From: Jean Beischel
Condolence: We were saddened to learn of Scott's death. We worked with Scott in the late 70's, early 80's at Providence Hospital, with him as the Blood Bank supervisor and therefore the boss of our fun loving phlebotomy crew. We have so many wonderful memories of our time together: morning rounds, breaks in the cafeteria, meeting in the parking lot to go water skiing, Scott skiing on the ladder.... One of our favorite times together was at his celebratory dinner at ChiChi's after receiving his acceptance letter to UC. We haven't been in touch in years but will always remember his smile, laugh, energy, love of skiing and dedication to his career. Jean Beischel, Toni Bitter Beischel, Peggy Adams Theilman

Condolence From: Chris Groh
Condolence: I am so sorry for your loss. Scott was one of my favorite cousins. The biggest problem with living out of town is that there are always ideas of touching base tomorrow. His passing drives home the fact that none of us is promised tomorrow. My thoughts & prayers go out to all of you.
