Obituary for Lenora G. Stewart (Marshall)

Stewart, Lenora Gray (nee Marshall), 91 years of Batavia, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017. She was born January 2, 1926 in Nokesville, VA and was the daughter of Thomas Howard and Effie Lee (Lewis) Marshall. She was married to the late John Edward Stewart for 63 years. She is survived by her two sons; Ronald L. (Susie) of Williamsburg, VA, J. Scott (Kathleen) of Batavia OH; four grandchildren Megan Bowder (Drew) of Bellevue, NE, Kathleen McPeek (Kevin) of Milford OH, Andy Stewart (Kim) of Barhamsville, VA and Len Martin (Jim) of Liberty Twp, OH, 7 great-grandsons, a sister Lila Decker of Grantsville, MD and a sister-in-law Betty Fink Marshall of Montrose, PA. Lenora retired as an administrative manager in the Dairy Division of the Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC. After retiring she and John moved to Brooksville, FL in 1983 where she lived until 2014. Lenora was a past Worthy Matron in Eastern Star in Arlington, VA and enjoyed trailering, traveling, golfing and visiting with family. A Celebration of her Life will be held Wednesday, October 25th at 4:30 p.m. at Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church, 6474 Beechmont Ave. Cincinnati, OH 45230. She will be interred at a later date with her husband in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers memorials should go to Otterbein Hospice, Lebanon, OH or a charity of your choice.
