Ellenor Ann Unverzagt, age 93 of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina went home to be with the Lord on December 13th, 2017. Born Ellenor Ann Whitaker in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 25th, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Helen Reckers Whitaker. Ellenor had 3 siblings; Muriel Reed (deceased), Tom Whitaker (deceased), and Joyce Whitaker Schroyer, who currently resides in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ellenor was married to George Unverzagt for 40 years and had two daughters; Janet Sue Unverzagt Belle Isle Cline who resides in Hilton Head, SC and Carol Ann Unverzagt Armstrong Kimball who resides in Tallahassee FL. Ellenor leaves behind 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Since leaving Cincinnati, Ellenor has resided in Lynchburg, Ohio, Gainesville, Georgia, and Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Ellenor attended and graduated in 1942 from Anderson High School in Forestville, Ohio from first grade through high school. She then attended Ohio State University and graduated in 1946 with a Bachelor of Science in Air Transportation. She grew up helping out at her father's hardware and feed store, Forestville Fuel & Supply, and continued into her adulthood. Her love of the stock market led her to a job with a bank and then a stockbroker's office. In her middle years, Ellenor pursued her passion for flying and earned her Private Pilot License in a Cessna 150. Our mother was a blessing in our lives. Her love and care saw us through the trials of Childhood and well into our adult years. We have the absolute certainty that she now resides in heaven, as she gave her life and trust to her Lord and King, Jesus Christ. Services will be held in the Chapel at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 686 Mt.
