Hammond, Alvin L. "Al" husband of the late Elizabeth M. "Betty" Hammond (nee Lazzell), beloved father of Jane H. (Harris) Turkel and Linda K. (William) Rothman, brother of the late Robert Hammond, devoted grandfather of Matthew (Naoko) and Joel (Jen Johnson) Turkel, and Christina Rothman and Suzanne (Jared) Kohlmann, great-grandfather of Allison, Lauren, Adah, Henry, Oliver, Keira, and Xander. Aug. 13, 2016. Age 96 years. Formerly of Mt. Washington. Service at T P WHITE & SONS Funeral Home 2050 Beechmont Ave. Mt. Washington on Tues. Aug. 16, at 1 PM. Friends may visit on Mon. from 5-7 PM with Mt. Washington American Legion Post 484 service on Mon at 7 PM at the funeral home. Al was a member of E T Carson Lodge #598 F & AM, Mt.
