Ann Seghers Brunet, age 86 of Anderson Township, died December 23, 2020. Ann was preceded in death by her son Greg Jr., granddaughter Virginia, parents Edward and Caroline Seghers, and siblings Ed, Ginny, and Bill. Ann is survived by Greg, Sr., her daughters Cathy Burk (Rob), and Jenny Bramlage (Craig Zins), and sisters Sr. Mary Seghers, OSB, and Shotsie Molitor. Ann leaves 10 grandchildren, Molly, Beth, Carolyn, Emily, Kim, Alissa, Patti, Jenna, Samantha and Gabriel. She leaves 7 great grandchildren, Owen, Jake, Oliver, Eleanor, Trey, Millie and Ronald.
Ann graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy in 1956. During her long career she was a member of the Hamilton County Pharmacists Association, serving as its monthly reporter and as President of the Womens Auxiliary. She was the first female to be elected to membership of the Veteran Apothecary Association of Cincinnati (VAAC), served as its vice president in 2012, and president in 2013. Anns career spanned 40 years as full and part time for many independent pharmacies on the east side of Cincinnati, most memorably Alfieri's and Wolfer's. She also volunteered as a preceptor in the Dispensing and Fundamentals Lab at the UC College of Pharmacy, and was later an Adjunct Instructor to teach the Compounding Dosage Delivery Systems class and lab.
Ann and Greg raised their family in Anderson Township. Upon retirement they moved to Ocala, Florida, and enjoyed many years of warmer weather and travel around the world. Ann enjoyed gardening in both Ohio and Florida, home decorating, and was a voracious reader. She led an increasingly quiet life as her illness advanced.
