Ann Langdon Swanson passed away in Cincinnati on May 29, 2022; she was born September 9, 1927. She is predeceased by her husband of sixty years, Robert David Swanson, parents Dr. and Mrs. Henry Harlan Langdon and sister Jean Elizabeth Langdon. She is survived by her sons Bruce Langdon Swanson (Adriana), David Corbly Swanson (Annette) and Douglas Archer Swanson and grandchildren Henry John Swanson, Sydnie Elizabeth Swanson and Philip Harlan Swanson.

Growing up in Mt. Washington, she graduated from Withrow High School and Oberlin College, where she majored in History. After declining an offer from Columbia University's Graduate School of Social Work, she earned her teacher's certificate from the University of Cincinnati and taught elementary school prior to raising a family. A life-long learner, Ann and her husband Bob traveled the world in search of enrichment opportunities, particularly those related to history or nature. With deep roots in Cincinnati, she was proud of its rich cultural and musical traditions.

She was a longtime member of Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church, Cincinnati Nature Center, Sharon Woods Historical Village and the Cincinnati Woman's Club. The family extends special thanks to the care team and entire staff at the Deupree House for their highly personalized support. Funeral services and burial at Spring Grove Cemetery are private. In lieu of flowers, for those so inclined, memorial gifts could directed to the Cincinnati Nature Center, Cincinnati Public Radio (WGUC) or Historic Southwest Ohio (Sharon Woods Village).
