Audrey H. Clarke (nee House) loving mother of Dr. William (Marshall) Clarke, Susan Stratton and the late Karen (Richard) Nomeland, devoted grandmother of Erika (Shawn), Andrea (Michael), Kaye (Aubrey), Shannon (Tim), Christopher (Leah), Asha and Daniel (Ariel) and caring great grandmother of Ava, Rylie, Michael, Sawyer, Eli, Brynn, Rosie, Ellie, Declan, Barrett and Winifred. Resident of Anderson Twp. Passed away on Jan. 9, 2024, at the age of 98.
Audrey was an avid reader and lover of knowledge her entire life. She was reading multiple books a week until her passing. She also had a deep love and respect of nature which she shared for decades as a volunteer at the Cincinnati Nature Center. She passed her reverence for nature to all the generations that followed her and that loved her. Audrey was fiercely independent and offered sage and honest advice to all those she loved - family and friends alike. From her childhood on a lake in CT to her cheerleading at University of Connecticut through her daily laps at her facility - staying active, mind and body, was her impressive guiding principle.
A Celebration Gathering will be held at T.P. WHITE & SONS funeral home on Thurs., Jan. 18 from 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to https://cincinnatiparksfoundation.org/donate in Audrey's name.
