Betty K. Strubbe

September 13, 1929 — October 8, 2023

Betty K. Strubbe (nee Kleine) age 94 of Mt. Washington, died October 8, 2023. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Miller and Nina Kleine, and her beloved husband, Richard F. Strubbe. Betty was the devoted mother of Betsy Brokamp (Bob), Emily Keiser, and Nancy Santi (Scott), loving grandmother of Cole (Jacklyn), Robby (Kristen), and Elly Brokamp, Katie (Joey Bruening) and Meggie Keiser, Casey Santi Hayes (Jay), and Josie & Richard Santi, and caring great-grandmother of Eloise Rowe and Lena, Nolan, and Otis Brokamp. Also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.

Betty was the life of every party, the person you wanted to tell everything to, who remembered every detail about your life and called you to ask about it, who loved a good party and staying up late talking. Who somehow managed to be both effortlessly warm and loving, while being so incredibly dry and funny. Many people described Betty as “larger than life” - she was more engaging, sharp, dynamic, charismatic than you’d think anyone could be at any age, much less at 94 years old.

Her love with her husband, Dick, was so big it trickled down into four generations. Through the way she lived her life, she taught her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren how to laugh together, love one another, and enjoy being around each other so much that family is the most fun part of their life, not an obligation. The greatest legacy she left was how much her family loves to be together.

Funeral service will be held at Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, October 17th at 3:30 pm.
