Carl R. Cooper, age 88 of Anderson Twp., died April 7, 2019. He was born in Portsmouth, Ohio on June 17, 1930 to the late Gerald and Lillan Cooper. He was the beloved husband of Betty L. Cooper (nee Dietz) for 65 years, devoted father of Nancy S. (Rick) Lewis and the late Deborah A. Stover, loving father-in-law of Danny Stover, caring grandfather of John and Jeffrey (Kristen) Lewis, cherished great-grandfather of Timothy, Kate, and Gwen, dear brother of the late Bob and Tommy Cooper. He was also preceded in death by a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Carl worked for the American Telephone and Telegraph Company and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Anderson Hills United Methodist Church where he was involved with the ARMM Group helping to make repairs to the church and assisting the needy. He also belonged to numerous gun clubs and gained a host of friends. Funeral service will be held at Anderson Hills United Methodist Church on Friday, April 12 at 10:30 am. Friends may visit at the church on Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Memorials may be directed to the Anderson Hills United Methodist Church Music Ministry. T.P.
