Carol Amateis

Carol Jean Amateis (nee Steverding) mother of Bill Bubnis (Heather), Kurt Bubnis, and Jennifer Mitsch (Joseph). Dear Grandmother of Sky Bear Bubnis, Emma and Joey Mitsch and Nahla Kattlove. Beloved American grandmother to Spanish exchange student and forever family, Álvaro Gil Segura. Preceded in death by husband William Bubnis (1968), granddaughters Emily and Anna Mitsch, Sisters Janice Perkins, Nancy Soukup and Diane Hoffart, and Brothers James (Gloria) and Robert (Sharlene) Steverding. Sister of Bill and John Steverding. Daughter of the late John Milton and Loretta Steverding. Passed away February 12th, 2024, age 86. Carol was a long-time resident of Anderson Township. She spent many years raising a family before continuing her education and re-entering the workforce with a focus on health and wellness. She was one of the first to implement medical massage at two local hospitals and maintained a practice at a fitness facility while improving the wellness of the Cincinnati community for decades. Service will be held at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home: 2050 Beechmont Ave. Mt. Washington, Saturday, April 6th at 1 pm where friends may visit from 11am until time of service.
