Carol Lee Cooke (Kile)
Cincinnati, Ohio
February 23, 1945 - September 29, 2024
Carol Lee Cooke, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on September 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in Cincinnati, Ohio. Carol was born on February 23, 1945, just outside of Detroit, Michigan, to the late David and Jean Kile. She was 79 years old at the time of her passing.
Carol was a devoted homemaker who raised her four children alongside her former husband, Dr. Ronald Cooke. Carol is survived by her children, Robert Cooke, Ronald Cooke (Beth), David Cooke, LeeAnn Walker (Bobby). She was the proud grandmother to Samantha, Reagan, and RJ Cooke, Paige, Stockton, Chase, and Kendall Walker and Kile Cooke and her loving companion Ned Ulmer.
Carol is also survived by her siblings, David Kile (Nancy), Barbara Schenk (Karl), Kathy Eshelman, and Margaret Hilles (James). She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Jean Kile, and her brother-in-law Jeff Eshelman.
Her family was her greatest joy, and she spent her life ensuring that her children and grandchildren were surrounded by love, guidance, and support.
Carol was much more than a devoted mother and grandmother-she was a true nurturer at heart. She worked as an elementary school nurse, served as a Cub Scout den mother, and was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it was volunteering as "the picture lady" on picture day or supporting her children's activities. Her caring nature extended beyond her own family, touching the lives of many around her. To know her was to love her, as she made everyone feel special and valued.
Her strong faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life, and she instilled those values in her children. Growing up on a farm, Carol developed a love for hard work and an appreciation for nature's beauty, traits she carried with her throughout her life. She enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time with her family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Carol's passing leaves a tremendous void in the lives of those who knew and loved her, but her family takes comfort in the knowledge that she is reunited in Heaven with her parents and many dear ones who have gone before her.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at Anderson Hills Church, 7515 Forest Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45255. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to two causes close to Carol's heart: the IPM (Inter Parish Ministry) or The Varner Foundation, which she faithfully supported throughout her life.
Carol will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
