It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Carol J. Meyer, at the age of 84.
Carol had a zest for life, a quick wit and enjoyed her many adventures with her friends and family, preferably after one or two flutes of champagne. She loved her dogs, horses, and the farm where she raised her children in Moscow, Ohio.
Carol was an avid equestrian, former Master of the Camargo Hunt Club, a voracious reader, and bridge player. While she loved to eat, she hated cooking. Over 30 years ago, she announced that she was taking a vacation from the kitchen. After 30 years, we informed her that she had officially retired. Vacations couldn't last that long...
She only came out of retirement around the holidays when she made sure that our blended family, including our father, Dick and his wife, Lynne, all came together to share a meal with cherished treats from the past. Her chocolate fudge brownies and potato stuffing will forever remind us of her and home.
She is survived by her children, Bruce and Susan, their spouses, Emily and Neil, grandchildren, Stacey, Matt, Amanda, J.J., Noah, and Brian, great grandchildren, Liam, Averi, Noah and Hunter, and her sister, Sue, and extended family.
While Carol is finally at peace and will join her partner, Michael and her daughter-in-law, Connie, we fully expect that she will continue to fill our lives with both hope and laughter.
In accordance with Carol's last wishes, the family will hold a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.DONATE HERE
