Proske, Catherine Rose, 98 died Friday afternoon at her home in Cincinnati. Survived by three sons, Edward (Rebecca) of Kent Oh., Robert of Cleveland and Louis of Cincinnati; four grandchildren, Diana (Jerry Turcotte) Proske, Matthew (Mariana) Proske, Jessica (Shands) Plymale and Emily (Ed Ickes) Proske; six great-grandchildren; two nieces, Brenda (Jerry) Williams and Debbie (Phil) Clayton, three nephews; Alvin (Judi) Koestring, Ted (Sandi) Proske and David Proske. Preceded in death by parents Louis E. and Selma (Metz) Sirkle, a sister Amelia (Sirkle) Koestring and a brother, Louis Sirkle. She was born and grew up on a farm near Evansville, IN. She graduated from Lockyear's Business College in Evansville in 1935. Her husband, Edward O. Proske died in 2001. They met in the late 1930's when she was a switchboard operator at Briggs Indiana Corp. in Evansville. She was also a switchboard operator at Deaconess Hospital in Cincinnati from 1972 to 1982. She was a member of the Mt. Washington United Methodist Church and the Order of Eastern Star in Atlanta. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:30 to 8 P.M. at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave. Mt. Washington. Funeral Service will be at the Mt. Washington United Methodist Church on Thursday at 12 P.M with visitation from 11 A.M. until service time. Memorials to the Mt.Washington United Methodist Church or Hospice of Cincinnati.
