Charles F. Pavey

Charles Fredrick Pavey, age 86, passed away April 11,2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. One of twelve children, he grew up farming in Rising Sun, Indiana. Charles graduated from UC, and he spent his career years as a design engineer in the corrugated packaging industry where he designed complex machinery. He enjoyed the drafting challenges and the requirement for precision. This probably led to his passion for working jigsaw puzzles.

Charles had a sweet tooth and rarely passed up a chance at dessert. Charles enjoyed watching the Bengals and Reds with family. He has triumphed many times through medical challenges, and earned the nickname "Energizer Bunny". His caregivers were entertained with his Indiana sense of humor, quick wit, and delivery with a smile.

Charles was a loving husband to Joan for 64+ years. He was a dedicated father to Douglas (Sandi), Charles Jr, Jennifer Miller (Scott), and Michael. His grandchildren were Samantha Black (David), Ethan Miller, Joshua, Grace, and Deanna with great-grandchildren Korrie Ann and Kevin. His niece Carol Byers (Edward) and their daughter Caitlyn Byers (Katie Lambing) held his heart as well. A host of beloved family members, including many nieces and nephews, and friends filled his wonderful life, including his siblings Helen Owens (Phil), Tom (Shirley), MaryLou Sieben (the late Doug), Dorothy Roth (Bill), Georgia, deceased siblings John (Alma), Bob, Rose Murphy, Jim, Betty, and Ruthie, and his sisters-in law Camille and Sherry. His final days were surrounded by family with reminiscing, laughter, tears, and reading his mother's poetry.

Funeral service will be held at Anderson Hills Church (corner of Beechmont Ave. and Forest Rd.) on Wednesday, April 23rd at 11:30 a.m. where family and friends may visit from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A private family interment will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Ohio and Anderson Hills Church.
