Clarence Mims

August 12, 1930 — December 13, 2015

Mims, C. E. 'Gene', loving husband of Ernestine 'Teen' Mims, beloved father of Russell (Nancy) Mims and Cheryl (Jack) Thompson, devoted brother of Charles Bill, the late Graham, Louise, and Doug Mims, dear grandfather of Wes and Chad Salyer, Christy Mims (Richard) Block, and Megan Perkins, adored great-grandfather of Austin and Anne Marie Salyer, Katie and Hayden Block, and Nolan Detroy, also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Passed into the Lord's hands Dec. 13, 2015. Age 85 years. Longtime resident of Anderson Twp. Gene was an entrepreneur extraordinaire with great success owning and operating Blue Chip Reprographics (Copy Cats Company) with his son for several decades. Gene was a free thinker who did it his way and instilled that spirit in his entire family and he loved attending Bengals and Reds games and traveling the country with his wife in their RV. Gene will be missed by friends and family. Service at T P WHITE & SONS Funeral Home 2050 Beechmont Ave. Mt. Washington on Fri. Dec. 18, at 11 AM. Friends may visit on Fri. from 10-11 AM. Entombment to follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. The family requests no flowers and memorials to the UC Barrett Cancer Center in Cincinnati. Gene also served in the US Air Force during the Korean War.
