Corrine Abella

Corrine Abella passed away on Thursday June 6th, 2024 at the age of 89. Corrine was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to William Thomas and Eleanor M Pfaffinger. A few years later the Pfaffingers moved to New Richmond, Ohio where she grew up. She was a 1952 New Richmond High School graduate. Corrine experienced many occupations enjoying her work as a nanny, Western Southern Life Insurance Company as a death claim examiner, full time mother, apartment complex manager, American Girl Doll Clothes seamstress, and loving Grandmother.

In her early years Corrine was a member of the Baden Club where she enjoyed traveling to away sports games and vacations. Corrine also loved her family vacations with her husband and daughter at Ft. Lauderdale and Treasure Island Florida. She loved to play cards and continued to do so for the rest of her life.

Corrine lived most of her life in Cincinnati, Ohio but spent her retirement years with her family in Beavercreek, Ohio enjoying the area annual craft bazaars and festivals, watching her beloved sports teams on TV (She loved all sports), and attending events at the Beavercreek Senior Center. She was adored by everyone, caring greatly for others through many kind acts of service and pleasant words.

Corrine is survived by her sister Mary Lee Deters, daughter Mary Frances (Scott) Rupert, grand-daughter Jessica Leigh (Branden) Scott and great grand-daughter Peyton Elizabeth Scott, grand-daughter Taylor Rae Schneider, and step-grandson Gordon Francis Rupert.

Corrine is preceded in death by her husband of 25 years Peter Abella, brother George Pfaffinger, sister Arlene Zuleger, and brother Danny Nieding.

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 10:30AM at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington. Friends may visit the funeral home from 9:30-10:30AM. Burial following the service will be at St. Peter's Cemetery, New Richmond, Ohio 45157.
