Daniel Bracken

Daniel Burt Bracken, age 75 of Finneytown, died peacefully on February 8, 2023. Dan was born October 2, 1947 in Dayton Ohio to the late J. William and Margaret (Back) Bracken. They moved to Berea, Kentucky which he considered his hometown. After high school he joined the Navy where he served as a corpsman attached to a Marine Recon Unit in Vietnam from 1968-1969

After he received his nursing degree from Eastern Kentucky University he served as a nurse at many hospitals in Kentucky and Ohio. Dan later joined the Army Reserves in Cincinnati and retired as a Major. He was also a Mason and belonged to the Scottish Rite.

He is survived by his wife Hoang and their three Children, Daniel William Bracken, Rosalie (Paul) Kelley of Cincinnati and Nikki (Josh) Qualls of Toledo. He is also survived by on sister, Barbara (Andy) Brown of Cincinnati.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11th at 3 pm at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project. woundedwarriorproject.org
