Danny L. Gleason

Danny Gleason, age 74, loving husband of Barbara (Quatkemeyer) Gleason for 53 years. Loving father of Shannon (Gleason) Daniels. Dear grandfather "Pop" of Caitlin (Jacob Fischer) Daniels, Tara Daniels, Leanne Cuozzo and Jeffrey (Richenda) Daniels. Dear brother of Ray (Donna), Tim, and Jackie Gleason. Also survived by his brother-in-law Tom Sweeney, sisters-in-law Sharline Quatkemeyer, Jean (Larry) Fleig, Jane Schank and many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Preceded in death by his parents Ray and Rita Gleason and sister Mary Ann Sweeney. After a four-year battle with cancer, Danny passed away on July 2, 2023, at home surrounded by family.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Cross-Immaculata Church, Mt. Adams, 30 Guido Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202 with reception immediately following at Holy Cross-Immaculata Church Center. Burial will take place at Dayton National Cemetery with military honors at 4400 West Third Street, Dayton, OH.

Danny was inducted into the Air Force August 4, 1967, at the age of 18 and proudly served for 20 years until retiring in September 30, 1987, at the rank of Master Sergeant. While serving in the Air Force, Danny and his family were stationed in Washington DC, Dayton, Germany, Dallas-Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Albuquerque, where he received many medals and decorations.

As any fine Irishman would do Danny sits at the hand of God in the great barstool in the sky having a beer with his father Ray and his sister Mary Ann while his mother Rita stand by them smiling.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Danny's name to the American Cancer Society or Hospice if Cincinnati.
