David "Dave" H. Kapp

David, Dave, Kapp, beloved husband of 57 years to Joyce Kapp (nee Smith); devoted father of Kellie (Brad) Hunkler and Becky Kapp; loving grandfather of Joe, Sam, Max, and Claire Hunkler; and dear brother of Peg (Hudak), Harriet (Kapp), Barbara (Kurtzer), Carole (Paff), and Steve Kapp, also survived by many nieces and nephews, passed away at the age of 79 on March 13, 2023. Dave was a graduate of Taft High School in Hamilton and then joined the U S Navy, serving from 1961-1965. He met Joyce on a blind date, and they were engaged 3 months later! Dave was a life-long Bengal's fan, enjoyed cowboy movies, and anything that had to do with his grandchildren. Dave was an excellent cook and enjoyed trying new recipes. His pineapple upside down cake was legendary. Dave was a kind, funny, and gentle man whos love and pride in his family was always apparent. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Service at T P WHITE & SONS Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Avenue, Mt. Washington, OH on Friday, March 24, at 1 PM. Friends may visit on Fri. from 12-1 PM.
