David E. Jeffers passed away at home on November 20, 2023 at the age of 90. David was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on July 21, 1933 to his parents Robert Jeffers and Lula (Higginbotham).
He was married to his wife Sue Jeffers (Ingalls) for 67 years. They had 4 children: Pamela (Rick) Kohler, Beverly (Tim) Gill, Steven Jeffers -deceased, and Lori (Scott) Anderson. He is survived by his brother Marvin (Edith) Jeffers and Donna (Fred) Retzler. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren Ryan Kohler, Kaitlin (Kyle) Schwieter, Rob Kohler, Cristin (Tim) Kiefer, Matthew (Meghan) Gill, Amy (Todd) Bush, Allison (Pete) Louderback, Zac (Leda) Anderson, Jacob (Shanki) Anderson, Carly Anderson and 16 great grandchildren.
David attended New Richmond High School after which he enlisted in the United States Navy He served in the Korean War. While in the Navy, he enrolled in a program to learn to be a pipefitter tradesman. He was involved in Pipefitter Union 392 and was a business agent and business manager. This year he received his 70 year pin for being an active union member.
After retirement, he divided his time in his home of Cincinnati and his second home on Honeymoon Island where he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family and friends.
A service to celebrate David's life will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 at Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church (Chapel), 681 Mt. Moriah Drive in Cincinnati. Visitation will take place at the church at 11:00am, with the celebration of life to begin at 12:00pm. Burial will follow at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery, followed by a reception at the church's fellowship hall.
