Delfina Alarcon Enriquez, beloved mother and grandmother peacefully went to be with the Lord on December 7, 2019 at the age of 87. She was born in San Elizario, Texas to Julian Alarcon and Aurora Trujillo Alarcon.
She was endearingly known by her family and friends as Pinny, Della, and Dell. She grew up in San Elizario near El Paso, Texas. She was the 7th of 10 siblings. When she was 9 years old, her beloved father passed. After she graduated from Ysleta High School, she moved to Los Angeles, California where she met Daniel Enriquez, were married and had two daughters. She worked in education, retail, administration, and banking and spent her last 27 years in Anderson Township in Cincinnati, Ohio.
She lived a long full life with a strong faith in God. She was an intelligent, strong, hardworking, independent prayerful woman. She had a passion for encouraging education and was an avid reader of medical articles. She derived happiness in caring for plants, and arranging flowers. She adored babies and spending time with her family. Her pride and joy was raising her two daughters, and loving her grandchildren.
Those that remain to carry Dell's memory within their hearts are her brothers Guillermo "Willie" Alarcon and Jose Antonio "Tony" Alarcon, her daughters Annette Serna of Oxnard, California and Lorena (Dave) Janes of Cincinnati, Ohio; her nephew Billy Alarcon, her grandchildren Stephanie (Paul) Santiago, Michael Janes, Andrew Serna, Steven Janes, and Nicholas Janes; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Dell was preceded in heaven by her parents Julian and Aurora, Daniel, her sisters Josefina "Pepa" Alarcon, Refugio "Cuca" McBain, Teodora "Teddy" Trujillo and brothers Rodolfo Alarcon, Julian Alarcon, Ramon Alarcon and Pedro Paulo "Paul" Alarcon.
Mass of Christian Burial to commemorate the life of Delfina will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 7770 Beechmont Ave., Anderson Twp., on Monday, December 23rd at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 am. The interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery. May she rest in eternal peace.
