Donald R. Marthaler, age 95 of Mt. Carmel, passed away November 22, 2023. He was the beloved husband of 66 years to the late Janet C. Marthaler (nee Brinker), devoted father of Beth (Patrick) Griffin and Mark (Bridgett) Marthaler, loving grandfather of Kierstin (Motoi) Nishihata, Alex (Amy) Griffin, Donald, Benjamin, Melanie, and Eric Marthaler, caring great-grandfather of Kara Nishihata. He was the youngest of nine children of the late Fred and Hedwig Marthaler and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Veronica Church on Thursday, November 30th at 10 am. Friends may visit at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm where American Legion Post 72 will pay tribute to their departed comrade at 7:30 pm.
