Dorothy (Dottie) Rose Taylor (nee Brueggemann), 92, of Cincinnati, sadly left us on Sunday, June 26,
2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene (Gene) Taylor, and
sons, Michael, and Joseph Taylor.
Beloved Wife; devoted and loving Mother, Aunt, Great Aunt, Mother-in-Law, Grandmother,
Great-Great Aunt, Great-Grandmother, Sister; dear Friend, and powerful
Intercessory Prayer Warrior.
Dorothy graduated from the Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing as a
Registered Nurse.
Putting her faith in action at Guardian Angels (GA) was such an important part of
her life. She began by serving in the Rosary Altar Society, Sodality, and
continued with the Genesis Group, Intercessory Prayer Ministry, and
Arimathaeans. She was responsible for introducing the Devotion to the Divine
Mercy to the parish community.
Always creative, she was especially accomplished in stained glass. Dottie and
Gene created and installed the Seven Sorrows stained glass windows in the
Sorrowful Mother Chapel at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center, along with the
many other projects for family, friends, and clients.
Never one to miss a party, she loved being with family and friends. The last few
years of her life were spent in moments of joy and laughter, and always in prayer.
The name Dorothy means "God's Gift", which she truly was to everyone she met.
If you knew Dottie you could rest assured that a rosary was said for your
intentions at some point over the years. We will miss her easy laugh, ready
prayer, and strong witness to the Catholic Faith she loved to her last breath. God
speed Dot Rosie!
