S. Douglas "Doc" Rogers, DDS, age 82 of Anderson Twp., passed away, January 22, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Ellen Rogers (nee Gesterkamp), devoted father of Julie (Robert) Vilardo, Jettye (Marc) Nagy, Jodi (David) Dickey, and Jim (Michelle) Rogers, caring step-father of Maxim (Carrie) Brumbach and Mattis (Katy) Brumbach, loving grandfather of Mason, Bransen, Dawsyn, Laura, Logan, Jarrett, Cooper, Marin, Drea, Davis, Dacey, Elizabeth, Lucretia, Juliana and the late Levi, cherished great-grandfather of Rosie, and dear brother of Phyllis Whisler and Marian Bowen.

Doug grew up in Portsmouth, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati (1963) where he played college football. He attended Dental School at The Ohio State University (1967). He served as a dentist in the army during the Vietnam War. Doug and his family moved to Cincinnati in 1969, to start his dental career.
Doc loved his work as a dentist. He owned Rogers Family Dentistry for over 50 years. His patients appreciated and loved him. He also loved gardening, coaching and traveling. He coached many youth sports including; knothole, softball, soccer, football and basketball. Doc passed his love for patient care, sports and family to his children who all share those same passions.
Doug had a heart of gold. He loved the Lord, served on mission trips and invested in people. He was always giving back to the community through his work in the school district, Kiwanis and American Legion. His children remember wonderful times with him during the great-green bean-picks and goal setting hours.
During retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling abroad and also to many National Parks.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Matthew 25: Ministries.
Friends may visit at T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, on Friday, January 26th from 9 to 11 am where a private family service will immediately follow.
