Dr. Ernst "Ernie" Rolfes

Dr. Ernst "Ernie" Gerth Rolfes. Loving and devoted husband of the late Elaine Rolfes (nee Duwel). Beloved father of Tim (Shelli) Rolfes, Nancy (Robert) Nead, Mike (Karen) Rolfes, Betsy (Tom) Scherpenberg, Julie (Andy) Smith, and Dave (Priya) Rolfes. Cherished sibling of Frank (Skip) Rolfes and the late Mary Louise Rolfes, and Rose Ann (Posie) Schmidlin. Also survived by 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Ernie was a man of tremendous faith. He loved his family deeply. He cared for many children through the years as a Pediatrician at Cincinnati Child Care. Ernie attended St. Xavier High School, Xavier University, and the University of Cincinnati. He was and will always be a loyal and passionate Muskies' fan. Surrounded by family he peacefully passed away July 3, 2020. Age 89 years. Due to the pandemic a mass of Christian Burial will be held privately with family.
