E. Ruth Morgan

June 3, 1925 — April 8, 2023

Ruth Morgan, 97, of Anderson Township, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2023, with her family by her side.

She was born to the late John and Maggie Bradford on June 3, 1925, in Vanceburg, Kentucky. She moved to Cincinnati in her early twenties but loved returning to her Kentucky roots and visiting her family farm anytime she could.

She married the late Jack Morgan in 1948, and they lived together in Cincinnati for the remainder of their lives. Ruth is survived by four children: Doug Morgan (Kathy), of

Cincinnati; Lisa McKenzie (Charles), of Cincinnati; Kim Ferry (Mike) of Lafayette CO; and Sherry Strothers (John), of Ocean Isle Beach, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Douglas Morgan, Jeremy McKenzie, Amy Meyer, Jay Morgan, Leslie Oney, Jason Ferry and Jack Ferry. And twelve great-grandchildren: Kaden and Kara Morgan; Jessica, Grace and Brynna McKenzie; Carly and Everett Meyer; Beckham Morgan; Madison Popham and Cora, Thane and Tali Oney.

Ruth was predeceased by her loving husband, Jack, in 2008 and her eldest son Darryl, in 2019.

Ruth devoted her life to her husband and children. She never wanted to be the center of attention but she always found a way to make us laugh with her funny Ruth-isms. She was tiny but mighty and one-of-a-kind. She lived independently up until a few weeks before she left us, always wanting to take care of things for anyone who was in her inner circle. Ruth kept journals later in life that her family discovered upon her passing. She wrote about how much she loved her family and how she couldnt wait to be with the love of her life, Jack. Her final note read: Family, Be Happy, Live Life Abundantly. Love you guys, Mom.

Viewing ceremony will be held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 6-8 p.m. at TP White & Sons Funeral Home.
