Upon completion of his studies, Roland joined the family business, The Becker Drug Company, at the corner of Woodburn and Chapel in Walnut Hills, founded by his father, Edward Becker. Known for his sense of humor and friendliness, he was well respected in the community and loved by his customers.
Roland was an avid fan of the Bengals, Bearcats and Cincinnati Reds. Beyond the sports arena, he cared deeply for his family and was especially proud of his great aunts, Sister Blandina and Sister Justina Segale. He adored his grandchildren who loved him in return because he was always there for them when it mattered. He had a warm heart and was generous beyond belief.
He served as a lector at St. Rose Catholic Church for thirty years and was active with the Kidney Foundation, a cause near and dear to his heart.
Roland brought joy to everyone he met. We celebrate his life well lived and the gift that he was to us all.
