Edwin Ed Henry Boldt, Jr, 80, dedicated husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at his home in Cincinnati, Ohio, on March 11th surrounded by family. Son of Alycemae (Relyea), and Edwin Henry Boldt, Sr., he was born November 12, 1943, in Toledo, OH. He lived a life marked by devotion to family and generosity toward all.
Ed will be remembered for his thoughtfulness, love of reading, basketball, vacationing at the beach, appreciation of nice cars, terrible dad jokes, punctuality, a long career in the FBI as a special agent, and then as legal counsel, and the way he showed up for his family.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janet (Borgerson); daughters Amy (Joe) Krimmer, Abby (Jay) Messner, Beth (Simon) Nicholson, all of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren Sydney and Avery Messner and Wyatt and Molly Krimmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Linda (Zaye), Barbara (France), and Carl Boldt. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
