Elizabeth Ann Anderson, "Betty Ann", of Anderson Township, passed away on Saturday April 20, 2024 at the age of 90.
Betty Ann was born on August 29, 1933 in Pewee Valley, Kentucky and grew up in Louisville. She graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1955 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics. She also was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority.
Betty Ann was a 48 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Masonic welfare league of Kentucky and was the great-great granddaughter of Dr. Robert Morris, the founder of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Betty Ann married Norman Douglas Anderson on June 18, 1955 in Louisville. They were married 42 years until he passed in January 1998.
Betty Ann was a kind and generous soul. Her love and kindness extended to all who knew her and she will be remembered for her sweet smile, Kentucky humor, and warm personality.
She had a passion for cooking, music, gardening, church activities, and community life. She had a lifelong love of animals, which included bottle feeding baby raccoons at the local rescue, feeding the backyard raccoons peanut butter sandwiches, and rescuing three small dogs: Samuel, Quincy, and Ryan.
Betty Ann is survived by her two sons, Clay (Martha) Anderson and Kris Anderson, four grandchildren, Nicholas (Beth) Anderson, Jason (Erin) Anderson, Bennett (Daniela) Anderson and Greta Anderson and two great grandchildren, Jillian and Ryan Anderson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at T.P. White Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington, Ohio. Interment will follow at Valley of Rest Cemetery in La Grange, Kentucky.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Woodstock Animal Foundation, in Lexington, Kentucky, in memory of Ryan, Betty Ann's last little rescue dog.
