Betty Rettig

Betty L. Rettig (nee Nichting) Born March 10, 1930, passed into eternal rest on December 20, 2024, surrounded by loving family. Betty lived a rich and fulfilling life over 94 years, marked by her unwavering faith, love for her family, kindness, and a warm sense of humor. She was the beloved wife of the late Jerome A. Rettig for 62 years, whom she adored deeply. Their love was a cornerstone of her life, enriching her world with joy and companionship. She was a cherished mother to Debbie L. Conrad (Dennis) and Jerry L Rettig (Mary) and took great pride in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother.

In her professional life, Betty was a successful clothing buyer and manager at Swallens, roles that frequently took her to New York's vibrant garment district-a job she truly enjoyed. After retiring, she continued to embrace life by working at The Disney Store for fun. Disney World was a place where she had spent countless joyful times with her family, creating cherished memories over decades.

She leaves behind a loving family, including her grandchildren-Jennifer Shepherd (Chris), Anthony Conrad (Victoria), Angela O'Rourke (Justin), Becca Gosselin (Chase), John Conrad, Jerry M. Rettig (Abbi), David Rettig, MacKenzie Pulskamp (Mike), Amy Marie Yokono (Shosuke), and Joshua Rettig-as well as great-grandchildren- Kaitlyn Dietrich (Cody), Kayla, Carter, Brayden, Carson, Cayden, Emmett, Owen, Adelaide, Temperance, Gage, Catherine, and Adam. Betty's spirit lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to be part of her life.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on December 30, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Guardian Angels Catholic Church in Cincinnati, OH. Friends may visit the church from 9:30 to 10:30 AM to pay their respects. Betty's legacy of love and laughter will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.
