Elsie Pack

Pack, Elsie Key, beloved wife of 56 years of the late Harold G. Pack and devoted mother of Michael (Kay) Pack of Cincinnati, OH and Brad (Ginger) Pack of Concord, NC, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2015 at the age of 87. Her infant daughter, Jennifer Lynn Pack, preceded her in death. Caring grandmother to David, Douglas (Katherine), Joseph (Meredith), and Thomas Pack and proud great grandmother of Jenny, Tommy, and Elizabeth Pack. Elsie was a 1948 graduate of the North Carolina Baptist School of Nursing and was part of the Cadet Nurse Corps. She worked as a nurse in various hospitals in Hickory, NC and later worked as a plant nurse for Century Furniture in Hickory. Elsie was a long time resident of Hickory, NC and Galax, Va. She recently enjoyed living at Asbury Woods Senior Apartments in Anderson Township, OH. Memorial Service will be held in the Community Room at Asbury Woods Apartments, 1149 Asbury Rd., Cincinnati, OH at 3:00pm Saturday, Sept. 12. Friends may visit with the family in the Community room from 1:30 -3:00. A family memorial service and internment will be held in Hickory, NC in October.
