Klotter, Esther Jeannette (nee Denny) born October 21, 1920, died June 25,2016 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by Arthur, her loving husband of 57 years. Esther mixed childbearing, work and volunteerism for a very busy life. Her service to her community began with her chairmanship of a PTA health committee, which resulted in Withamsville Tobasco School having its first school nurse. She was a leader of a 4-H group, teaching young girls to sew and cook. For many years active in her church, Mt. Moriah Methodist, she taught Sunday school and founded the senior center there, organizing a meal program and day trips for senior citizens She was also involved in the establishment of Southeastern Ecumenical Ministry (SEM). She was employed at Amelia State bank, the Internal Revenue Service, and Becksmith Candy and Novelty. Late in her working life, she entered the entrepreneurial area, establishing the Clothes Horse, a children's resale shop which she ran with her daughter, Kathy. she was a devoted mother to her three children, Melanie (Michael Berry) Garner, Byron (Deen) Klotter and the late Kathy (Dale) Schneider. She will be mourned by her grandchildren, Erin Craig) Carman, Shannon (Todd Cail) Garner, Sean Garner, Derrick (Carrie) Klotter, Krista (Matt) Wagner and Sam Schneider and missed by her great-grandchildren, Daniel (Mykel), Emily, Abigail and Riley Carman, Sofia and Emma Cail, Addison and Brady Klotter and Noah and Jack Wagner. The family asks that memorials be made to SEM Pantry, 6446 Beechmont Ave. Cincinnati, Ohio 45230. Service at T.P.White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Mt. Washington on Saturday July 2 at 11 A.M. Friends may visit on Saturday 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.
