Florence M. Williams (nee Hennings), age 95 of Anderson Township, died December 9, 2020. She was the beloved wife of 53 years to Emmet, devoted mother of Sister Sharon Williams (Daughters of St. Mary of Providence) and Denise (Joe) Clancy, loving grandmother of Shannon (Christine) Clancy, Karen (Jason) Oswald, and Kelly (Robby) Rouse, and caring great grandmother of Joe, Lucy, Will, Grace, and Sam. GG, as her great grandkids called her, grew up on a farm in Macomb, Ohio. She loved helping with things such as gathering eggs, feeding the animals, and caring for her collie dogs. After graduating from Bowling Green University she met Emmet and they soon relocated to Detroit where they raised their family. In retirement, Florence and Emmet enjoyed traveling to places such as New Zealand, Italy, and Germany. However, the one constant in their life was the family cottage on Loon Lake in Michigan. She loved it there and enjoyed sharing this special place with all three generations of her family. She was the most kind, loving and caring person that you could meet. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 10am. The Mass will be livestreamed on the IHM web page (https://www.ihom.org). If desired, memorials may be directed to Freestore Foodbank or Alzheimers Association.
