Gary Belew

Gary Lee Belew, 77, passed away with his wife of 24 years by his side on March 4, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on September 25, 1947, Gary grew up on his family's farm in Butler, Kentucky where he learned the value of hard work ethic, commitment, and dedication. He carried these ethics with him throughout his life. He devoted his life to family and his distinguished career.

Gary attended Butler Elementary and graduated from Pendleton County High School. Committed to education, he worked to support himself through college, earning a bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati. Following college, he began working for Procter & Gamble Company then The Kroger Company. His hard work and dedication translated into a successful 39-year career with Kroger Company, where he retired as a National Account Manager in 2017.

Gary was known for his love of culture and traveling to Europe, Taiwan, especially to South Haven, Michigan. He enjoyed puzzles and witty humour. His personality was marked by his deep love for his children and family, and he treasured every moment spent with family.

Gary is survived by his loving wife, Gina Belew; his children, Sean (Alison) Belew; Jennifer (Aaron) Ackerman; his stepson, Michael Haffenden; his granddaughter, Valerie Belew; his step-grandson, Oskar Spencer; his brother, Stephen (Kathy) Belew and sister, Cynthia Belew, as well as nieces, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hilton and Alta Belew.

Gary's life will be remembered and celebrated by all who knew him, leaving a lasting legacy of love and dedication.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, 11 AM at First Baptist Church of Anderson Hills (1674 Eight Mile Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45255) where family and friends will visit from 10 AM until the time of service. Refreshments to follow immediately.
