George Ahlrichs

George B. Ahlrichs, age 99 of Anderson Twp., died July 13, 2021. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to the late Irene A. Ahlrichs (nee Bateman), devoted father of Rick (Connie) Ahlrichs, Becky (Perry) Bush, Debbie Newsome, and David Ahlrichs, loving grandfather of Sara (Nate) Scherer, Corey (Megan) Nix, Kaitlyn Newsome, and Falon Keller, caring great-grandfather of Archer Nix and Jocelyn Keller, and dear brother of the late William Ahlrichs and Helen Slattery. George was a graduate of Purcell High School and the Art Academy of Cincinnati. He proudly served his country in the United State Army 79th Division during WWII and was a longtime member of American Legion Post 484. George and his late brother William co-owned Ahlrichs Redwood Carryout and Catering for many years. He was also a longtime parishioner of Guardian Angels Church where he sang in the choir and participated in the Angel Follies. He also enjoyed playing tennis, golf, and bridge. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Guardian Angels Church on Tuesday, July 20th at 10:30 am. Friends may visit at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
