Glen Alexander Becker, 74, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on December 26, 2023. Glen was born on June 14, 1949, in Worcester, Cape Province, South Africa, to the late Eustace Charles Becker and Ella Randall (nee Martin) Becker.
Glen graduated from Worcester Boys High School and Abbotts College in South Africa.
Glen had a long and distinguished career in banking, serving as a teller and small business manager in South Africa and later as a loan officer in the United States. Following his banking career, he worked at the Mercy Health Plex in Anderson.
Glen served his country in the South African Air Force, where he developed valuable skills.
After moving his family to the United States in 1991, Glen proudly became a U.S. citizen in 1998.
In his free time, Glen enjoyed spending time with his family, playing and watching golf, photography, listening to music (especially the Beatles), traveling, coin collecting, and participating in 5K walks.
Glen enjoyed giving of his time by volunteering at local golf tournaments and mentoring at Mt. Washington Elementary School.
Glen is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Paula K. (nee Janke) Becker, his daughter Joy (Philip) Helbig, his son Timothy (Alysia) Becker, his grandchildren Grace Helbig, Levi Becker, Noah Becker, his sister Ann (nee Becker) Henning and 3 nieces and a nephew. He is also preceded in death by his sister Jennifer (nee Becker) Brennan.
Glen worshipped at Parkside Christian Church in Cincinnati, OH, where he found community and connection, deepening is already established faith in Christ.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM at Parkside Christian Church, located at 6986 Salem Road, Cincinnati, OH 45230.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to Woodland Lakes Christian Camp, located at 3054 Lindale Mt. Holly Road, Amelia, OH 45255.
Glen will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. His memory will forever be cherished.
