Grace Carmichael Mackenzie

September 2, 1999 — September 15, 2021

Grace “ Carmichael” MacKenzie of Anderson Township unexpectedly passed away on September 15, 2021 at the age of 22. She was called home at an early age for reasons we do not understand, but with prayer and faith of God he will guide us to the answer.

She is survived by her parents J. Michael MacKenzie and M. Jill Tummler-MacKenzie, her brother G. Elijah MacKenzie of Anderson Township. Niece of Doug MacKenzie and the late Gary MacKenzie. She holds a special place in so many hearts especially her Great Aunt and Uncle Kay and Devon Cope, her lake family, the Ebner's of Williamstown Lake and Nate Roberts her boyfriend.

She was our sunshine before birth and will always be our sunshine. Her heart was big and in many ways was like her father. Carmichael was always for the underdog. She had the knack for making you feel welcomed. She stood up to the bullies in school for others and herself. Referred as Sissy to her brother their bond was unbreakable. Elijah will always have the memories of them playing with our dogs together and going to Graeter’s for ice cream. Carmichael would send you a text when you were down just to brighten your day. Her smile would brighten anyone's day. Her love for animals, especially her dogs, Buddy and Bella will not be forgotten. If she would pet sit, you were guaranteed a photo of your pet to arrive via a text. As part of the Dilly Family, she was known as “Carmi” and their love for her was contagious. Carmi always gave the pets that came with their customers fresh water, a special treat or took a photo to share.

The family has asked that if you have a photo of Carmichael to bring it to place on the sharing photo board for the family to enjoy later.
