Gregory Loos

Gregory (Greg) Loos, EdD, passed peacefully on June 2, 2024, at age 74 in his home in Cincinnati, OH. Greg is the cherished father of Sabine Loos (Jonathan Roth) and is survived by his brother Gene (Mary Ann) Loos and dear friends Estu Brataningsih and John Diether. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Catherine Lucille (Grissom) Loos. Greg spent his life endeavoring to make positive imprints on others. He was a devoted father to his daughter Sabine, who took after him in her ability to self-reflect, bring people together, and her career in education and development. Greg spent his career in public health and education, most recently with the U.S. Agency for International Development in Washington, DC. He played professional soccer for The Dallas Tornado and worked on an oil rig in the 1970s. A worldwide traveler, Greg was quick to make friends and treasured diverse cultures and experiences. In accordance with Greg's wishes, the family will scatter his ashes at places of natural beauty, including Hawaii where he spent two decades of his life. Private services have been held.
