H. Thomas "Tom" Himes Jr.

We are sad to announce H. Thomas Himes, Jr. (Tom) passed away suddenly on Monday, May 13, 2024. He was the devoted husband of Sharon for 54 years and father of Kurt Himes and Kimberly (Matthew) Geil. He was also the grandfather of two beloved grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, H. Thomas Himes, Sr. and Elizabeth Himes as well as his youngest sister, Kathleen Robinson. He is survived by his sister, Mary Lee McNally.

After graduating from McNicholas high school in 1960, Tom joined the United States Air Force for four years. He attended Ohio State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. He moved to Cincinnati to pursue a career with Cincinnati Milacron. His interest in information technology then led him to work for Cincom Systems for over 25 years. He retired from Software Sciences Group at the age of 77.

Tom enjoyed hiking and fly fishing in Colorado, biking in nature, racing cars and following Ohio State football. He loved spending time with his family, playing with his grandchildren and watching them play whatever sport they were involved in.

Visitation for family and friends will begin Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 4:30 P.M. at TP White & Sons Funeral Home in Mt. Washington. A service will follow visitation at 6:00 P.M. at the same location. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may go to the American Heart Association.
