Harriet K. Lau (Dolly), beloved wife of the late Elias B Lau and devoted mother of Jay (Claire) Lau of Chesterfield, VA, Kay Shari (Michael) Pack of Cincinnati, OH and Deborah (Russell) Edgerton of Milford, VA, passed away peacefully at the New England Club, Cincinnati, OH on January 7, 2024 at the age of 96. Caring grandmother to Jay Lau Jr., David Pack, Elliott Lau, Lauren Edgerton, and Abigail (Eric) Matthews. Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Carrie Kafka, her sisters Marie Blundin and Virginia Stone, and her brother John Kafka.
Dolly was a graduate of Petersburg High School, Petersburg Va. She worked at Camp Lee and later she worked for many years in the guidance office at Matoaca High School in Chesterfield County, Va. Dolly was also a very active member of Woods United Methodist Church until her move to Cincinnati in 2019. Dolly was devoted to her family and enjoyed traveling with her husband and other family members. She is the last of her generation and will be missed by the Kafka clan as well as friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Woods Methodist Church, Chesterfield County, Va.
