Helen Amelia Snider of Cincinnati, Ohio left this life surrounded by her husband and children on May 26, 2024 after a fierce battle with cancer. She was 88 years old.
Helen was born February 08, 1936 on a farm in Burtonville, Kentucky to the late Tom and Beatrice Pollitt. She was the second oldest of seven children and loved being part of a big family and life on the farm.
She was a graduate of Aberdeen High School and went on to a rewarding career as a Unit Clerk Supervisor at Jewish Hospital of Cincinnati.
Helen considered her most rewarding roles in life to be loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She understood that true fulfillment comes from providing others with joy. Helen had a special talent for making others feel seen, heard, and appreciated. She got so much joy from giving to others- her time to her family, money and gifts to grandkids, egg hunts to children, being a second home/mom to our friends, and making every holiday extra special. She found her greatest joy in creating joy for others.
Helen is survived by her husband of 58 years, Charles Ken Snider, loving mother of Beth Price and Amy (Mike) Young. Devoted grandma, grams, nama of Amanda Young, Mikey (Heather) Young, Krystle Young, Courtney Price, Nicole Young, Sara Young and Katie Young. Great grandma of five.
She is survived by her sister Ida (Bob) McDaniel and brother Tom (Carol) Pollitt. She is preceded in death by siblings Jean Nash, Virginia (Sonny) Seibert, Jimmy Pollitt and Evelyn Pollitt as well as mother and father in law Herb and Marjorie Snider.
The love and care she showed everyone in her life is unmatched and will be sorely missed.
Service will be held on Monday, June 3 at 10:30AM at Clough United Methodist Church, 2010 Wolfangel Rd, Anderson Twp. Friends may visit T.P. White and Sons Funeral Home on Sunday, June 2 from 5-7PM.
