Helen Strickland

Strickland, Helen (nee Spurlock) beloved wife of Delmar Strickland and the late Paul Sweeney, devoted mother of Michael (Mark Osterday) Sweeney, Mark (Judie) Sweeney, and the late Erin Sweeney Meehan, loving grandmother of Julie Sweeney, Shannon Meehan, and Kristin Meehan (Antony) Frater, caring great-grandmother of Brooklynn Martinez, and Andrew & Patrick Frater , and dear sister of the late Hubert Spurlock. Helen was an accomplished oil painter, had a great energy for life, loved Irish culture and spending time in Europe, and loved her family deeply. Died on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2016. Age 83 years. Residence Mt. Washington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Rose Church on Wednesday, March 30 at 9:30 am where friends may visit from 8:30 am until time of service.
