Howard "Bud" E Mullen II, born Feb 2, 1955, died Feb 10, 2021, loving husband of Soo Mullen (nee Watson), devoted son of the late Anna Louise (nee Wallace) and Howard E Mullen, fond son-in-law of Jim and Carol Cobb, and the late Richard and Donna Watson, dear brother of Madonna Mullen Bean (Greg), Sheila Mullen Lee (Tim), Sharon Mullen Jump, Steven Mullen (Missy), David Mullen (Claire), Carl Mullen (Theresa), beloved father of Christopher (Chrissy) Mullen, Brennan (Jessica) Blackwell, Nathanael (Ashley) Mullen, Charity (Mike) Cody, Elizabeth Mullen, Nicholas Mullen, Leslie Green, Timothy Jones, the late David Jesse Mullen, Mackenzie Faith Mullen and Julian Rene Mullen, grandfather of Ella, Emma, Miles, Aiden, Nolan, Jackson, Milo, Tyler, Andrew, Naomi, Isaiah, Abby Sue, Alex, and 2 deceased grandchildren.
Born in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, in St. Luke's Hospital (now St. Elizabeth's). Bud was employed 47 years with Senco and 7 years as Den Leader with Cub Scout Pack #246. Youth soccer coach in Anderson Township and YMCA basketball coach for multiple years. Bud was a diehard Bengals fan and a season ticket holder. He also loved to cheer on University of Kentucky basketball and football. Bud had a wonderful sense of humor and made everyone around him laugh. He loved Christmas Vacation and could recite every word. He also loved to laugh along to The Andy Griffith Show and The Beverly Hillbillies. Bud was a frequent donator of blood at Hoxworth Blood Center and was recognized for his consistent donations. He had a huge heart, worked hard for his family, and opened his home to many children over the years. Supported and sponsored a child through World Vision Ministries. Patron and supporter of St. Jude's Hospital, American Heart Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Down Syndrome Foundation, American Cancer Society, Cincinnati Shriners, and City Gospel Missions in Cincinnati. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be sent to any of the foundations Bud supported over the years.
