Irene Ahlrichs

Ahlrichs, Irene A. (nee Bateman) passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at the age of 86 years surrounded by her loving family. Loving and adorned wife of George Ahlrichs for 64 years, devoted mother of Rick (Connie) Ahlrichs, Becky (Perry) Bush, Debbie (Phil) Newsome, and David Ahlrichs, loving grandmother of Sara Ahlrichs, Corey Nix, Kaitlyn Newsome, and Falon Keller, dear sister of Caroline Bordas, Marian Barton, Kathy Bateman. Preceded in death by her parents Alice and Dick Bateman and her brother Richie. She was a lifetime member and Past-President of American Legion Post 484 Auxiliary. Irene loved reading books, crossword puzzles, avid bridge player, and enjoyed her golf league at Little Miami. She lived her entire life in the Anderson Twp. area and previously worked for the family business, Ahlrichs Redwood and ten years in the School of Nursing at Jewish Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Guardian Angels Church on Thursday, April 3 at 10:30 am. Friends may visit at the church on Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
