Ivar R. Norwell

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Ivar R. Norwell on February 12, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Affectionately known as "Big Daddy"! He was 76 years old and a resident of Anderson Township. Ivar passed surrounded by his family, which was the cornerstone of his world. He was married to his wife for 54 years, Julia R. Norwell. Together, they built a beautiful life and family. He is preceded by parents Edward and Biruta Norwell and his brothers George Norwell, Pete Briedis, and Aivars Briedis.

He was a cherished brother to Baiba (Herbert) Elkins, Egon Norwell, Linda Norwell (V'Ann Ryther), and Arno (Linda) Norwell.

Devoted father of 7 children. The late Ingrid Browning (52) (Tim). He is survived by his children, Juliana Norwell, Angela Norwell, Adam (Alicia) Norwell, Rebecca (Rory) Fredricks, Chris (Quincey) Norwell, Andrew (Brooke) Norwell, and 18 grandchildren, Dylan, Camryn, Julia, Audrey, Braden, Sofia, Nathan, Ava, Norah, Paityn, Everett, Ryan, August, Shiloh, Andi-Rose, Grant, Wallace and JJ and also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ivar's life was a testament to fun and love. Every moment was an opportunity to create memories, share laughs, and embrace the joy of living life to the fullest. His bigger-than-life personality and adventurous spirit will be missed, but he will remain in our hearts forever.

Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lord Christ the King Catholic Church on Friday, February 21st, at 10 a.m. Friends may visit T.P. White & Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, February 20th, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
